Tran Dinh Long was born in Hai Duong, Vietnam, on February 22, 1961. He graduated from Vietnam's National Economics University in 1986 with a bachelor's degree in economics.
Rise to Success
In 1992, Long co-founded Hoa Phat Equipment and Accessories Co., Ltd.. He became the Chairman of Hoa Phat Group in 1996. Under his leadership, Hoa Phat transformed into Vietnam's largest steel producer. Long was listed in Forbes' real-time list of billionaires in March 2019, with a fortune of $1 billion.
