Savitri Jindal was born on March 20, 1950, in Tinsukia, Assam, India. She grew up in a traditional household and married Om Prakash Jindal in 1970. Her early life was characterized by traditional values and simplicity.

Rise to Success

After her husband's death in 2005, Savitri Jindal took over as the chairperson of the O.P. Jindal Group. She had to navigate the complexities of business as well as the political and social responsibilities that came with it. She oversaw massive growth in the O.P. Jindal Group. Under her leadership, the company's revenue quadrupled.

Key Business Strategies

After Om Prakash Jindal's death in 2005, the group's companies were divided among his four sons, who now run them independently. Sajjan Jindal, a son of Savitri, manages JSW Steel. Naveen Jindal, another son, manages Jindal Steel & Power. Savitri has also been involved in politics, serving as a member of the Haryana Vidhan Sabha.
