Savitri Devi Jindal was born on March 20, 1950, in Tinsukia, Assam, India. She married Om Prakash Jindal in the 1970s. She married Om Prakash Jindal, the founder of the Jindal Group, and dedicated herself to supporting his ambitious vision.

Rise to Success

After her husband's death in a helicopter crash in 2005, Savitri Jindal took over as the chairperson of the O.P. Jindal Group. Despite lacking prior direct business experience, she demonstrated exceptional leadership and steered the company through challenging times. Under her guidance, the Jindal Group expanded and diversified, becoming a major player in the steel and power industries. She was also elected to the Haryana Vidhan Sabha from the Hisar constituency.
