Early Life and Education
Ho Hung Anh was born in Hanoi, Vietnam, in 1970. He pursued higher education in Russia, where he met his future business partner, Nguyen Dang Quang. Both studied at the Kiev Polytechnic Institute, where Ho earned a Bachelor of Engineering degree.
Rise to Success
Ho Hung Anh's entrepreneurial journey began in the 1990s, trading goods between Eastern Europe and Vietnam. This venture laid the foundation for the establishment of the Masan Group. He started investing in Techcombank in 1995 and, along with Nguyen Dang Quang, took control of the bank in 2006.
Key Business Strategies
Under Ho Hung Anh's leadership, Techcombank has adapted to market fluctuations and cemented its position as one of Vietnam's leading private banks. The bank has also pioneered digital transformation in the sector. Ho has focused on cultivating large customers and advancing into the corporate bond market, leading to higher profit margins. In June 2018, Techcombank went public.
