Early Life
Jorge Feffer was born in São Paulo, Brazil, in 1965. He is the grandson of Leon Feffer, a Ukrainian immigrant who founded the family's business in 1924. Leon started a small envelope-making business, which eventually grew into the pulp and paper giant Suzano.
Rise to Success
Jorge Feffer's career has been largely dedicated to Suzano. He serves as a member of the Board of Directors of Suzano Papel e Celulose, and as a shareholder. Suzano has become the largest pulp producer globally. He held the position of Deputy Chief Corporate Officer from 2013 to 2015. The company has expanded through acquisitions, notably the $7.5 billion purchase of Fibria in January 2019.
