Victor Pinchuk

Early Life

Victor Mykhailovych Pinchuk was born in Kyiv, Ukraine, on December 14, 1960. His parents were Jewish. In 1987, he earned a doctorate in industrial engineering from the Dnipropetrovsk Metallurgical Institute.

Rise to Success

Pinchuk founded the Interpipe Company in 1990, leveraging his patented innovations in pipe design and production. Interpipe became a major producer of seamless pipes and railway wheels. He also founded EastOne Group Ltd., an international investment advisory company, in 2006. He served as a member of the Ukrainian parliament from 1998 to 2006.

Pinchuk’s business acumen led to the successful establishment of Interpipe, which utilized his innovative approach to steel pipe manufacturing. He expanded his business interests through EastOne, an investment advisory company, and diversified his portfolio across various sectors.

Victor Pinchuk is actively involved in philanthropy. He founded the Victor Pinchuk Foundation, which supports various projects in education, healthcare, culture, and human rights. He has also donated over £10 million to support Ukrainian soldiers and civilians affected by the Russo-Ukrainian War. He also launched the PinchukArtCentre, a contemporary art center.
