Massimo Moratti was born on May 16, 1945, in Bosco Chiesanuova, Italy. He is the son of Angelo Moratti, an industrialist who founded Saras in 1962 and was also the chairman of Inter Milan during their successful period in the 1960s. Moratti graduated from Libera Università Internazionale degli Studi Sociali Guido Carli with a master's degree in political science.
