Gianfelice Mario Rocca was born in Milan, Italy, on March 2, 1948. He comes from a family with a long history in the steel industry; his grandfather, Agostino Rocca, was a pioneer in the Italian steel industry. Rocca earned a bachelor's degree in physics from the University of Milan and a PMD from Harvard Business School.
Rise to Success
Rocca's career began in 1974 when he joined the Techint Group. He was appointed head of corporate activities in Italy, Europe, and Mexico in 1980 at the age of 32. Since 1997, he has served as the chairman of the Techint Group. Under his leadership, the Techint Group has grown into a global leader in various sectors. In the 1990s, Rocca founded the Istituto Clinico Humanitas, which has become a prominent hospital and research center.
