Vyacheslav Kim was born on June 12, 1969, in Almaty, Kazakhstan. He completed his secondary education at the Republican Physics and Mathematics School. Kim later graduated from Almaty State University with a degree in finance and from the Russian-Kazakh Modern Humanitarian University with a degree in management.

Kim's entrepreneurial journey began in 1993 when he co-founded Planet Electroniki, a retail chain specializing in electronics. He co-founded Kaspi.kz, and the company transformed into a comprehensive digital ecosystem offering payment solutions, e-commerce, and banking services.
