Vyacheslav Kim was born on June 12, 1969, in Almaty, Kazakhstan. He graduated from the Republican Physics and Mathematics School. Kim furthered his education by earning degrees in Financial Economics and Finance from Kazakh National Pedagogical University and Russian-Kazakh Modern Humanitarian University.
Rise to Success
Kim's entrepreneurial journey began in 1993 when he opened the Planet of Electronics Store, which later evolved into Kaspi Bank. Recognizing the potential of combining retail with lending, he partnered with Baring Vostok Fund, which facilitated Kaspi's growth, and in 2007, Mikheil Lomtadze joined the management team. This strategic move transformed Kaspi.kz into Kazakhstan's biggest fintech company. Kim played a pivotal role in Kaspi's IPO in October 2020 on the London Stock Exchange, significantly increasing his wealth.
