Sezai Bacaksız

Early Life and Education

Sezai Bacaksız was born in Ankara, Turkey, in 1950. He pursued his education at Gazi University, where he earned a degree in Mechanical Engineering. After graduation, he continued at Gazi University for a brief period, working as an assistant to Necmettin Erbakan in the Engineering and Architecture department.

Rise to Success

Bacaksız co-founded Limak Holding with Nihat Özdemir, a fellow graduate from Gazi University, in 1976. Over the years, Limak Holding has grown into a major conglomerate, undertaking various large-scale infrastructure projects across Turkey and internationally. Bacaksız currently serves as the Vice-Chairman of Limak Holding.

Limak Holding's business strategy has focused on diversification across various sectors, including construction, energy, tourism, and cement. The company has secured significant contracts for major infrastructure projects, such as the new Istanbul Airport and the construction of hydroelectric power plants.
