Early Life
Nihat Ozdemir was born on April 5, 1950, in Diyarbakir, Turkey. He completed his primary and secondary education there. In 1967, he moved to Ankara to begin his university education.
Rise to Success
Ozdemir graduated from Gazi University's Faculty of Engineering and Architecture with a degree in mechanical engineering. He began his career as an assistant at the same university. In 1976, he co-founded Limak Holding with Sezai Bacaksız. The company has interests in the construction, energy, cement, and tourism sectors. Ozdemir focused on cement and energy within Limak Holding's portfolio. He served as the Deputy President and Press Spokesman for Fenerbahçe SK, one of Turkey's most successful football clubs. He also served as the President of the Turkish Football Federation from 2019 to 2022.
