Şefik Yılmaz Dizdar was born in 1938 in Safranbolu, Karabük, Turkey. He completed his education in Turkey, attending the İzmir Economy and Commerce Academy. After completing his education, he fulfilled his mandatory military service.
Rise to Success
Dizdar's career began in the iron and steel industry. He worked at Karabük Demir Çelik Fabrikası between 1961 and 1979. Subsequently, he moved to Istanbul to engage in iron and steel trading, capitalizing on the opportunities presented by the Iran-Iraq War. However, he later shifted his focus to the textile industry. In 1997, he partnered with Mustafa Kucuk to acquire LC Waikiki, a brand that would become a significant part of his wealth.
