Early Life
Piero Lardi Ferrari, born in Modena, Italy, in 1945, is the son of Enzo Ferrari and Lina Lardi. Growing up in Modena, he developed a keen interest in mechanics. He earned a high school diploma in mechanics in 1964. He also has a half-brother, Dino Ferrari, who died at the age of 24.
Rise to Success
Piero began his career at Ferrari in 1969 as an English translator for his father, Enzo Ferrari. He quickly progressed, becoming a technical supervisor and later a co-organizer for the Formula One team. In the mid-1980s, he took on the role of supervisor for road car production, contributing to the development of iconic models like the Ferrari F40, Ferrari F50, and LaFerrari. After Enzo Ferrari's death in 1988, Piero inherited his father's 10% share in the company and the Fiorano Circuit. In 1989, he was appointed Vice Chairman.
