Early Life and Education
Otto Toto Sugiri was born in Bandung, Indonesia, on September 23, 1953. From a young age, he showed a keen interest in technology, which led him to pursue higher education in Germany. He earned a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering in 1980 from the Rheinisch-Westfälische Technische Hochschule (RWTH) Aachen, followed by a Master's degree in Computer Engineering from the same institution.
Rise to Success
Sugiri's career began in 1983 as General Manager of IT at Bank Bali. In 1989, he founded PT Sigma Cipta Caraka (Sigma), a software company that became a pioneer in technology development in Indonesia. The company was later acquired by PT Telekomunikasi Indonesia (Persero) Tbk. (TLKM) in 2010. In 1994, Sugiri co-founded Indointernet, the first internet service provider in Indonesia.
In 2011, Sugiri founded PT DCI Indonesia Tbk (DCII), a data center company. Under his leadership, DCI has grown to become the largest data center provider in Indonesia, with over half of the country's local capacity. In 2020, DCI became the first company in Southeast Asia to receive the Tier IV Certification of Constructed Facility from the Uptime Institute. DCI's stock price has climbed significantly since its listing in 2021.

He has consistently invested in cutting-edge technology and automated operations. Sugiri's strategy includes building strategic partnerships, such as the joint venture with Gallant Venture to build a data center complex near Singapore.
