Otto Toto Sugiri was born on September 23, 1953, in Bandung, Indonesia. He pursued his higher education in Germany, where he studied medicine before switching to computer engineering. He graduated from RWTH Aachen University in 1980 with a Master of Science in Engineering.
Rise to Success
Sugiri's professional journey began in 1983 as the General Manager of IT at Bank Bali. In 1989, he founded PT Sigma Cipta Caraka (Sigma), a pioneering company in Indonesian technology development. Sigma quickly grew and became a leader in IT services. In 1994, he co-founded Indointernet (Indonet), Indonesia's first internet service provider. In 2009, he founded Data Center Indonesia (DCI), which has become Indonesia's largest data center company, offering data center infrastructure, cloud computing, network connectivity, and managed services.
