Marie-Hélène Habert-Dassault was born in Neuilly-sur-Seine, France, on April 4, 1965. She is a member of the Dassault family, a prominent French family known for their significant contributions to the aerospace and media industries. Her grandfather, Marcel Dassault, founded Dassault Aviation, a French aerospace company that started out making propellers in World War I.

Marie-Hélène Habert-Dassault holds a Master's degree in Strategy and Marketing from Sciences Po and a postgraduate degree in Business Law and Taxation. She began her career at DDB Publicité in London as a media planning consultant. She joined the Dassault Group in 1991 as Deputy Director of Communications. Later, she became the Group Director of Communication and Patronage since 1998. She served as the president of the supervisory board of the family-controlled aerospace and software conglomerate Dassault Groupe, but stepped down in 2019 and now serves as the conglomerate's Communication and Partnership director.
