Daniel Feffer was born in São Paulo, Brazil, on October 28, 1959. He is part of the Feffer family, whose entrepreneurial spirit has significantly shaped Brazil's industrial landscape. His grandfather, Leon Feffer, founded Suzano in 1924, laying the groundwork for what has become a global leader in the pulp and paper industry. As the second-eldest among the Feffer brothers, Daniel grew up immersed in the family business, cultivating a deep understanding of Suzano's operations and the importance of innovation.
Rise to Success
Feffer's career has been marked by strategic leadership and a commitment to Suzano's expansion. He holds a law degree from Mackenzie University and has pursued business administration studies at Fundação Getúlio Vargas, Harvard University, and MIT. His early career included a stint as an assistant at the Secretary of Culture of the State of São Paulo before joining Suzano's sales team. Over the years, he has held various positions, including manager of communication and marketing, and manager of special products, eventually rising to the position of vice-chairman of the board. A key achievement was the acquisition of Fibria Celulose in 2019, creating the world's largest producer of hardwood pulp.
