Alexandre Behring da Costa, born in 1967 in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, began his educational journey at the Pontifical Catholic University of Rio de Janeiro (PUC-RJ), earning a degree in electrical engineering. Behring's career took off in 1989 when he co-founded Modus OSI Technologies. From 1994 to 2004, he was a partner and board member at GP Investments. In 1998, he co-founded América Latina Logística (ALL). In 2004, he co-founded 3G Capital, where he serves as co-managing partner. 3G Capital is known for its long-term investment approach and has made significant acquisitions, including Burger King, Heinz, and Hunter Douglas. Behring played a leading role in the acquisition of Burger King in 2010. He also spearheaded the merger of Burger King and Tim Hortons to create Restaurant Brands International (RBI) in 2014.
