Wong Luen Hei was born in Foshan, China, in 1963. He began his entrepreneurial journey at a young age, starting his first factory at 13. This early venture focused on producing PVC pipes and fittings. His wife, Zuo Xiaoping, became a key business partner in his ventures.

In 1996, Wong founded Lesso (later China Lesso Group Holdings) in Shunde, China. Under his leadership, Lesso expanded significantly, becoming a leading supplier of building materials.
