Robert B. Rowling (born 1953) is an American billionaire businessman known for his investments in the hotel industry and other ventures. His source of wealth stems from Hotels, investments, and his company, TRT Holdings. Rowling's career began in the oil and gas industry with Tana Oil and Gas, which was later sold to Texaco. He then founded TRT Holdings, which acquired Omni Hotels & Resorts, Gold's Gym, and other properties. Rowling is a graduate of the University of Texas at Austin and Southern Methodist University. His philanthropic efforts include significant donations to educational institutions like the University of Texas McCombs School of Business, and he has served on various boards, including the University of Texas System Board of Regents.
