Kallam Satish Reddy was born in Hyderabad, India. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Chemical Engineering from Osmania University and a Master of Science in Medicinal Chemistry from Purdue University.

Satish Reddy joined Dr. Reddy's Laboratories in 1993 as an executive director. He was elevated to the role of Managing Director in 1997 and became Chairman. Under his leadership, the company transformed from a manufacturer of active pharmaceutical ingredients to a company with a diverse product portfolio of finished dosage formulations. He spearheaded the company's expansion into Russia, CIS countries, and other emerging markets, solidifying its global presence.
