Marek Dospiva was born on July 18, 1969, in Kutná Hora, Czech Republic. He studied at the Moscow State Institute of International Relations (MGIMO) and Peking University. He later earned a master's degree after a nostrification of his studies at Charles University in Prague. He also holds a JUDr. degree from Matej Bel University in Banska Bystrica.
