Early Life and Education
Radovan Vitek was born on January 22, 1971, in Nové Město na Moravě, Czechoslovakia. He graduated from the Faculty of Law of the University of West Bohemia in Pilsen.
Rise to Success
Vitek began his career in the 1990s during the voucher privatization in Slovakia. He later returned to the Czech Republic in 1997 and acquired an investment fund, Boleslavsko, which he transformed into his key real estate investment vehicle, now known as CPI Property Group. In the early 2000s, CPI acquired a wide portfolio of properties in the Czech Republic and Slovakia, initially focusing on the retail sector before expanding into offices and other segments.
Key Business Strategies
Vitek's primary business strategy has been the acquisition and management of commercial properties, particularly in Central and Eastern Europe. CPI Property Group has become one of the largest real estate owners in the region, with a diverse portfolio including offices, retail centers, residential units, hotels, and complementary properties. Strategic acquisitions, such as those of Immofinanz and S Immo, have significantly increased the value of CPIPG's assets. Vitek also expanded his investments, particularly in office buildings, during the economic downturn.
