Karel Komarek was born on March 15, 1969, in Hodonín, Czech Republic. He developed an early interest in engineering, leading him to study it. After graduating, he briefly worked at Sigma Hodonín.
Rise to Success
In 1992, Komarek founded M.O.S. Hodonín, a wholesale company for industrial valves. With a loan from his father, he started his business. His career progressed to the energy sector, and in 1995, he established KKCG, an investment company. KKCG's portfolio expanded into lotteries and gaming with the acquisition of Sazka, the largest Czech lottery company. Sazka later rebranded as Allwyn, becoming a leading lottery operator in Europe.
