Karen Virginia Beckmann Legorreta was born into one of Mexico's most prominent business families. Her father, Juan Francisco Beckmann Vidal, is a billionaire and the owner of 70% of the Jose Cuervo tequila brand. Karen's mother, Doris Legorreta, passed away in June 2023. She has two siblings, Juan Domingo Beckmann, the current CEO of Becle, and Dora, who passed away in 2023.
Rise to Success
Karen holds a degree in Economics from Stanford University and a Master of Business Administration from Harvard Business School. She began her career gaining experience at Goldman Sachs and a health tech startup. After her father decided to transfer a significant portion of his shares to his children, Karen took on a more prominent role in the family's business.
