Early Life
Alejandro Baillères Gual was born in Mexico City in May 1960. He is the son of Alberto Baillères, a renowned Mexican businessman, and Teresa Gual. He comes from a prominent Mexican family, and from an early age, Alejandro was immersed in the business world, influenced by his family's legacy. He attended the American College of Switzerland for business studies and later completed an executive program at Stanford University's business school in 1996.
Rise to Success
Alejandro Baillères Gual's career began in 1989 when he joined the Board of Directors of Industrias Peñoles. He then held the position of Deputy General Director at GNP Seguros in 1997, later becoming its General Director in 2006. In 2016, he was appointed Vice President of Grupo BAL and became the President of the conglomerate in April 2021, succeeding his father. He has held directorships in several companies, including Peñoles, Grupo BAL, and Fresnillo plc. He currently serves as the CEO of Grupo Nacional Provincial.
