Early Life
Kagemasa Kozuki was born on November 12, 1940, in Japan. He developed an interest in electronics and technology at a young age. He graduated from Kansai University in 1966 with a Bachelor of Economics.
Rise to Success
In 1969, at the age of 28, Kozuki founded Konami Industry Co., Ltd. in Osaka, Japan. Initially, the company was a jukebox rental and repair business. By 1973, Konami shifted its focus to amusement machines and then to the development and publishing of video games. Under Kozuki's leadership, Konami released numerous successful titles, including the "Gradius," "Castlevania," and "Metal Gear" series. Over the years, Kozuki expanded Konami's operations to include pachinko machines, trading cards, and anime production.
