Ji Qi's entrepreneurial journey is marked by the successful founding of several major companies. In 1997, he founded Shanghai Sunflower High-Tech Group. He co-founded Ctrip, China's first travel booking site, in 1999 and served as its CEO until 2001. In 2002, he co-founded Home Inns & Hotels Management Inc., where he served as CEO until 2005. In 2005, Ji Qi founded H World Group (formerly known as Huazhu Group and China Lodging Group), which operates over 12,000 hotels globally under various brands.
