Rise to Success

Sugianto's professional journey began in 1974 as a marketing manager at PT New Safety, where he worked for six years. In 1981, he founded the Mandiri Group. Over the years, Mandiri Group became a prominent player in the coal mining sector. In 2005, he became the President Commissioner of Prima Andalan Mandiri. Prima Andalan Mandiri was listed on the Indonesian Stock Exchange (IDX) in September 2021. In 2023, his coal services company, Mandiri Herindo Adiperkasa (also known as Mandiri Services), raised $31 million through an IPO.
