Early Life

Bulent Eczacibasi was born in Istanbul in 1949, the son of Nejat Eczacibasi, the founder of Eczacibasi Group of Companies. His upbringing in a family of entrepreneurs cultivated a strong interest in business from a young age. He attended Deutsche Schule Istanbul before pursuing higher education abroad.

Rise to Success

Bulent Eczacibasi's career began in 1974 at Eczacibasi Holding, where he held various management positions within the company's subsidiaries. In 1995, he ascended to the role of Chairman of Eczacibasi Holding, a position he continues to hold. His leadership has been pivotal in the company's growth and international expansion. He has overseen the global exporter of ceramic and wall tiles, plus bathroom fixtures and accessories (brands include VitrA, Villeroy & Boch and Engers Keramik)

Under Bulent Eczacibasi's guidance, Eczacibasi Holding has diversified its interests across pharmaceuticals, consumer products, building materials, healthcare services, and finance.
