Avram Avie Glazer was born on October 19, 1960, in Rochester, New York, to Malcolm and Linda Glazer. He is part of the Glazer family, who own the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and Manchester United. He grew up in Rochester, New York, attended Pittsford Mendon High School. In 1978, he was named the Junior Achievement Outstanding Young Businessman Of The Year. He studied business at Washington University in St. Louis and graduated in 1982, earning a law degree from American University in 1985. He also studied in China at Peking University and Fudan University.

Glazer's career has been primarily focused on sports management and ownership. He serves as the Executive Co-Chairman of Manchester United, a role he has held since 2005. During his tenure, Manchester United has won numerous titles, including Premier League championships and the Champions League. Glazer has also been an owner of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers since 1995, with the team winning two Super Bowls under his ownership.
