Early Life
Ali Erdemoglu was born in 1959 in Adıyaman, Turkey. He spent his childhood and youth in Gaziantep. In 1970, he and his family moved to Gaziantep. He started working in the carpet business with his father Mehmet Erdemoglu, with two rug-weaving looms. He started his career in the carpet industry with his father.
Rise to Success
Ali Erdemoglu, alongside his brother Ibrahim, began building the family business. They acquired a 51% stake in SASA Polyester in 2015 for $102 million and increased their ownership over time. This strategic move significantly increased their wealth as SASA Polyester became a major player in its industry. The brothers also own the Merinos Carpet and Dinarsu Carpet, which contributed to their growing success.
