Tseng-yu Tsai, known as T.Y. Tsai, is a 72-year-old Taiwanese billionaire whose wealth stems from finance and investments. He is ranked #26 on Forbes' 2025 Taiwan's 50 Richest list and #1462 in the world. T.Y. Tsai is the son of Tsai Wan-lin, who built Cathay Life Insurance into a major financial powerhouse. T.Y. Tsai holds an EMBA from National Taiwan University and a Bachelor of Arts/Science from Tokai University. In 2010, he sold his shares in Cathay Financial Holding, the successor to Cathay Life, and founded Homax Equity, where he makes real estate investments.
