Early Life
Smita Crishna Godrej was born in Mumbai, India. She is from the Godrej family, a well-known business family in India. She received her education at J B Petit School in Mumbai, completed her ISC from the Presentation Convent, Kodaikanal. She graduated with a BA in History and Political Science from St. Xavier's College Mumbai and then went on to acquire a Diploma in Communication Arts (Television Production) from Loyola College (now Concordia University), Montreal.
Rise to Success
Smita Crishna Godrej is recognized as one of the richest women in India. She is part of the Godrej family, which controls the Godrej Group, a large consumer goods company with a revenue of $5.7 billion. Her brother, Jamshyd Godrej, runs the consumer goods firm Godrej & Boyce. In 2024, the Godrej family business was divided into two groups, and Smita Crishna Godrej, along with her brother Jamshyd, will control Godrej Enterprises Group (GEG).
