Early Life and Education
Anthony Nicholas Pritzker was born on January 7, 1961, into a Jewish family. He is the son of Donald Pritzker, co-founder of the Hyatt hotel chain, and Sue Sandel. Pritzker graduated from Menlo School in Atherton, California, and earned a Bachelor of Arts degree from Dartmouth College. He later received an MBA from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business.
Rise to Success
Pritzker's career has included leadership positions in various companies. From 1993 to 1994, he was the president of Fenestra Corporation. He served as a group executive at the Marmon Group from 1995 to 1996. Later, from 1996 to 1998, he was the Regional Vice President of Operations in Asia for Getz Bros. & Co. In 1998, he oversaw Stainless Industrial Companies for the Marmon Group. From 2000 to 2004, he was the President of Baker Tanks. He is currently the managing partner of Pritzker Group and chairman and CEO of Pritzker Private Capital.

Pritzker is involved in private equity and investment. He leads The Pritzker Group, a private equity firm focused on middle-market investments. In 2017, he co-founded Pritzker Private Capital, which has raised over $9 billion in capital commitments across its funds as of 2025. Philanthropy
Pritzker is actively engaged in philanthropy through the Anthony Pritzker Family Foundation. His notable contributions include $20 million to UCLA for centers on urban sustainability and foster youth empowerment.
