Early Life and Education
Anthony Nicholas Pritzker was born on January 7, 1961, into a Jewish family, and is part of the Pritzker family known for the Hyatt Hotel legacy. He graduated from Menlo School, Dartmouth College, and earned an MBA from the University of Chicago.
Rise to Success
Pritzker's career includes various leadership positions. He served as president of the Fenestra Corporation from 1993 to 1994, group executive at the Marmon Group from 1995 to 1996, and regional vice president of operations in Asia for Getz Bros. & Co. from 1996 to 1998. In 1998, he oversaw Stainless Industrial Companies for the Marmon Group. From 2000 to 2004, he was the President of Baker Tanks, and from 2004 to 2007, he served as chairman of AmSafe Partners. He is the managing partner of the Pritzker Group and currently sits on the board of directors of Halcyon Ventures, Glenayre, Evercore Partners, and the Signicast Corporation.

Pritzker has spent over twenty years as an active investor and board member in middle-market companies across the manufactured products and business services segments. He is involved with Pritzker Private Capital, which has raised $7.9 billion from family and outside investors since spinning out from Pritzker Group in 2017.
Philanthropy
Pritzker is actively involved in philanthropy. He serves as chair of the UCLA Institute of the Environment board of advisors. He has made significant donations, including to the UCLA School of Law, and has hosted benefits for organizations such as the American Ballet Theatre. The Anthony Pritzker Family Foundation supports healthcare, education, and environmental sustainability. In 2020, Pritzker and his ex-wife Jeanne donated $30 million to UCLA to renovate the school's Psychology Tower, which was renamed Pritzker Hall. In 2025, the Anthony Pritzker Family Foundation has donated $20 million to UCLA.
