Shamsheer Vayalil was born on January 11, 1977, in Kozhikode, Kerala, India. He came from a business family, which influenced his entrepreneurial aspirations. After completing his schooling, he pursued an MBBS at Kasturba Medical College, Manipal, and later earned an MD in radiology from Sri Ramachandra Medical College and Research Institute, Chennai.
Rise to Success
After completing his medical studies, Vayalil moved to Abu Dhabi in 2004, where he worked as a radiologist at Sheikh Khalifa Medical City for a year. However, he soon recognized the potential for building his own healthcare business. In 2007, he founded LLH Hospital in Abu Dhabi, the first hospital under the VPS Healthcare umbrella. His initial success was supported by his father-in-law, M.A. Yusuff Ali, a billionaire businessman. Over the next decade, VPS Healthcare expanded rapidly, growing to include numerous hospitals and medical centers across the Middle East, Europe, and India.
