Early Life
Pamireddy Pitchi Reddy was born in 1957 in Dokiparru village, Krishna district, Andhra Pradesh, into a farming family. From a young age, he displayed a strong work ethic and a desire to build a better life.
Rise to Success
In 1989, P.P. Reddy founded Megha Engineering Enterprises in Hyderabad with just two employees. The company initially focused on manufacturing pipes for municipalities. In 1991, his nephew, P.V. Krishna Reddy, joined the company. Under his leadership, MEIL expanded into larger infrastructure projects, including dams, natural gas distribution, roads, and irrigation projects. The company's name was changed to Megha Engineering and Infrastructure Limited (MEIL) in 2006. MEIL grew to be one of India's largest private infrastructure firms. MEIL has projects overseas in Zambia, Tanzania, Bangladesh, and Kuwait.

P.P. Reddy is known for his philanthropic work. He adopted his birthplace of Dokiparru and established a free, solar-powered program for clean drinking water. He has also pledged to build a hospital and school for the neighborhood, and supported several villages with infrastructure and services. He also built the Oncology Center at the NIMS Hospital in Hyderabad.
