Early Life

Martin Moller Nielsen was born in August 1964. He grew up in Grønbjerg, Denmark. His father, who loved gliders, died in a traffic accident on the way to the airfield when Nielsen was 8 years old.

Rise to Success

Nielsen's career began in 1990 when he founded Nordic Aviation Capital (NAC) in Skive, Denmark. He took a pilot's certificate at the age of 18. In 2015, Nielsen sold a 67% stake in NAC to EQT and Kirkbi, valuing the firm at $3.3 billion. By 2016, NAC operated a fleet of 275 aircraft leased to 30 regional airlines, including Air Berlin and Etihad. In 2022, Nielsen was no longer a shareholder in NAC. He now runs axiomgroup, a family office with investments across multiple industries.
