Luca Garavoglia was born in Milan, Italy, on February 27, 1969. He was educated at the Istituto Leone XIII in Milan and obtained a bachelor's degree in economics from Bocconi University in Milan in 1994.

Garavoglia began his career at Campari Group in 1994, quickly rising through the ranks. He was appointed Chairman of the Campari Group in September 1994, becoming one of the youngest CEOs in Italy at the time. Garavoglia assumed control of Alicros, which owns 51% of Campari's equity, after his mother's death in 2016.
