Rise to Success
Simanovsky's career began in the 1960s, working as a fitter at the Progress plant. He later served as a deputy manager of the Kuybyshev Truboprovodstry trust from 1979 to 1991. In the 1990s, Simanovsky held several key positions, including president of CB Solidarnost (Samara) from 1995 to 1996. From 1996 to 2001, he served as vice-president of Yukos oil company.
A pivotal moment in his career was co-founding Novatek in 1994 with Leonid Mikhelson. From 2000, he founded and headed Khimpromindustriya. In 2003, he became Chairman of the Board of Directors of Novatek. Since 2003, he has been a deputy in the State Duma of the Russian Federation, serving across multiple convocations.
