Kwee Liong Keng was born on February 13, 1945, in Jakarta, Indonesia. He is the son of Henry Kwee Hian Liong, a textile trader and real estate developer who migrated from Indonesia to Singapore in 1958, seeking stability. Kwee's upbringing in Singapore laid the foundation for his future success in the real estate industry. He earned a Bachelor of Science degree from Philadelphia College Textiles & Science in 1968.
Rise to Success
Kwee's career began with Pontiac Land Group (PLG), founded by his father. He served as the Managing Director of PLG until 2024, alongside his brothers, transforming the company into a major player in luxury real estate. Under his leadership, Pontiac Land Group developed several luxury hotels, including The Ritz-Carlton, Millenia Singapore, and the Capella Singapore. They also own office towers and residential residences.
