Biography
Jorge Mas is a prominent Cuban-American businessman and the chairman and largest shareholder of MasTec, an infrastructure engineering and construction company. Born in Miami in 1963, Mas is a graduate of the University of Miami with degrees in Business Administration. His career began at Church and Tower, the precursor to MasTec, in 1984. Under his leadership, MasTec has grown into one of the largest Hispanic-owned companies in the U.S., generating billions in annual revenue. Mas is also the managing owner of Inter Miami CF, a Major League Soccer team. His net worth is estimated at $4.4 billion, as of March 2024, largely from his stake in MasTec. He is actively involved in philanthropy through the Mas Family Foundation, supporting education and community initiatives.
