Early Life
Jorge Mas was born in Miami, Florida, on February 28, 1963. His father, Jorge Mas Canosa, was a Cuban exile and founder of the Cuban American National Foundation and MasTec. Mas earned a Bachelor's and a Master's degree in Business Administration from the University of Miami.
Rise to Success
Mas began his career at Church and Tower, his father's telecommunications company. The company later became the foundation for MasTec, a major infrastructure construction firm. MasTec, under his leadership, has grown into one of the largest Hispanic-owned businesses in the U.S., generating $12.3 billion in revenue in 2024. Mas co-founded Neff Corporation, which was sold for $510 million in 2005. Mas is also the managing owner of Inter Miami CF, a Major League Soccer team.
