Biography
Jeffrey Koo Jr. is a prominent figure in Taiwan's financial sector, best known for his significant ownership stake in CTBC Financial Holding. Born in 1964, he is the fourth generation of the Koo family, who established the Koos Group. His primary source of wealth stems from his involvement in finance and investments. Over his career, he has held leadership positions and played a role in the strategic direction of CTBC Financial Holding, one of Taiwan's largest financial institutions. He was also the former president of the Baseball Federation of Asia. In May 2025, he was sentenced to seven years and eight months in prison for a fraud case involving the sale of a building in Kaohsiung, but appeals are possible.
