Isabella Seràgnoli was born in Bologna, Italy, on December 23, 1945. She came from a family of industrialists who founded a company in 1928. She attended the University of Bologna, earning a diploma in Economics and Merceology of Foods, and later, a degree in Dietetics from the University of Chieti. From a young age, she was involved in the family's industrial group, which expanded significantly after World War II under the leadership of her father and uncle.
Rise to Success
After her father Enzo, and her uncle Ariosto took over the family business, initially producing motorcycles, it later transitioned to packaging in the 1950s. The company's success accelerated with the invention of the cigarette packing machine 4350/Pack in the 1960s, establishing it as a dominant player in the tobacco industry. In 2002, following the division of the family's property, Isabella became the president and sole shareholder of Coesia. Under her leadership, Coesia expanded its global footprint, acquiring numerous companies and continually advancing its technological capabilities. She diversified her fortune by investing in private equity and public stocks.

The foundation has built and supports hospices and palliative care units. She has invested 50 million euros in the construction of a pediatric hospice.
