Ipek Kirac was born on November 29, 1984, in Istanbul, Turkey. She was adopted by Inan and Suna Kirac at approximately four months old. Her mother, Suna Kirac, was a key businesswoman who served as the vice chairperson of the Koç Holding Board of Directors. Ipek graduated from Koç School in 2002 and obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology from Brown University in 2007. Her studies were influenced by her mother’s battle with ALS. She also earned a Master of Public Health degree from Brown University in 2011.
Rise to Success
Ipek Kirac's career includes a significant role at Sirena Marine, where she served as the CEO from 2012 to 2021. Under her leadership, Sirena Marine expanded its production of luxury yachts, becoming one of Turkey's top exporters. She joined the board of directors of Koç Holding in 2016, solidifying her position within the family's business empire.
