Early Life
Guo Guangchang was born in Dongyang, Zhejiang, China, in February 1967. He received a BA in Philosophy and an MBA from Fudan University in 1989. During his university years, he supported himself by selling bread door-to-door in the dormitory.
Rise to Success
Guo Guangchang's entrepreneurial journey began in 1992 when he founded Guangxin Technology Development Company Ltd. Two years later, in 1994, he became the chairman of Fosun Group (now Fosun International), a pivotal role in shaping his career. Under his leadership, Fosun transformed into a global investment conglomerate with investments spanning insurance, pharmaceuticals, property, retail, and more. He has been recognized as a key figure in China's business landscape.
