Guo Guangchang was born in February 1967, in Dongyang, Zhejiang, China. He developed a strong work ethic early in life. Guo received a Bachelor of Arts in Philosophy and an MBA from Fudan University in 1989.
Rise to Success
In 1992, Guo founded Guangxin Technology Development Company Ltd., one of the first companies in mainland China to use scientific methods for market research. In 1994, he became the Chairman of Fosun Group, leading the company to become a global investment powerhouse. Fosun International was listed on the Hong Kong Stock Exchange in 2007. Guo's vision led Fosun to invest in diverse sectors, including healthcare, insurance, tourism, and mining.
