Dominika Kulczyk was born on July 30, 1977, in Poznań, Poland. She is the daughter of Grażyna Kulczyk and Jan Kulczyk. She graduated from Karol Marcinkowski Secondary School in Poznań. She holds degrees in Sinology and Political Science from Adam Mickiewicz University in Poznań. She also studied Mandarin Chinese at Huadong Shifan University and Peking University.

Following her father's death in 2015, Dominika inherited a significant portion of the family fortune, which she later divided with her brother, Sebastian, in 2018. She took over the stake in Polenergia, a renewable energy company, and now chairs its supervisory board. This move marked a significant shift towards renewable energy, reflecting her commitment to sustainable business practices. In 2016, she was named one of the "50 Most Influential Women in Poland" by Forbes.

The Kulczyk Foundation’s initiatives have benefitted more than 600,000 people. She is also involved with the Values Consulting Group.
