Early Life and Education
Alex Bouaziz was born in Paris, France, in 1993, and spent his childhood between Paris and Tel Aviv, Israel. His father, Philippe Bouaziz, was a software executive, which exposed Alex to technology and entrepreneurship from a young age. He earned a bachelor's degree in civil and environmental engineering from Technion – Israel Institute of Technology, followed by a master's degree in environmental engineering from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT).
Rise to Success
Alex co-founded Deel in 2019 with Shuo Wang. Deel's mission is to simplify how companies hire, onboard, and pay employees and contractors worldwide. The idea for Deel stemmed from Alex's experience in building tech ventures and trying to recruit internationally without adequate infrastructure. Under his leadership, Deel has expanded to serve tens of thousands of businesses across multiple industries, raising significant venture funding. Deel's valuation reached $17.3 billion in October 2025.
