Danilo Iervolino was born on April 2, 1978, in Palma Campania, Italy. He grew up in a family that valued education, and his upbringing instilled in him a strong work ethic. He studied humanities, Latin, and ancient Greek in public schools before attending the Parthenope University of Naples, where he earned a degree in economics.

In 2006, he founded Università degli Studi Pegaso with his siblings, an online university that quickly gained popularity. In 2021, he sold his company Multiversity, which included UniPegaso, to private equity firm CVC Capital Partners for $1.3 billion.
