Early Life and Education
Clark Knobel Hunt was born on February 19, 1965, in Dallas, Texas. He is the son of Lamar Hunt, the founder of the Kansas City Chiefs, and Norma Hunt. Growing up in Dallas, he was immersed in sports and business, values that would later define his career. He graduated from St. Mark's School of Texas in 1983 and then attended Southern Methodist University (SMU), where he earned a degree in business administration with a concentration in finance in 1987. At SMU, Hunt was a captain and a four-year letterman on the nationally ranked soccer team.
Rise to Success
After graduating from SMU, Hunt worked for two years as an investment banker with Goldman Sachs. He later returned to Dallas to work with his father. In 2005, he was named chairman of the Kansas City Chiefs, and in 2010, he became CEO. Following his father's death in 2006, Clark, along with his siblings, inherited ownership of the Chiefs. Under his leadership, the Chiefs have achieved remarkable success, including multiple AFC West Division championships and Super Bowl victories.

Hunt's business acumen is evident in his strategic decisions for the Chiefs. In 2013, he modified the leadership structure, with the head coach, general manager, and team president all reporting directly to him. He is also involved in the MLS, serving as Chairman and CEO of FC Dallas. The Hunt family also supports the Chiefs Charity Game, which has raised over $15.6 million for local youth-focused charities since 1985.
