Early Life and Career

Ka Yee Wong, later known as Carrie Perrodo, was born in Hong Kong around 1950 or 1951. She began her career as a model, moving to Singapore to pursue opportunities in the fashion industry and later founded Carrie's Models, a successful modeling agency.

Entry into Business and Marriage

Carrie met French entrepreneur Hubert Perrodo in the early 1970s. They married in 1974. Hubert founded Perenco in 1975.

Rise to Success and Leadership at Perenco

After Hubert's death in 2006, Carrie Perrodo inherited control of Perenco. Under her leadership, Perenco has continued to grow, focusing on the operation of mature and marginal oil fields. The company has expanded through strategic acquisitions, such as the purchase of assets from ConocoPhillips in 2012. The company operates in 16 countries and produces approximately 510,000 barrels of oil equivalent per day.

Key Business Strategies

Perenco's strategy includes acquiring assets from larger companies and revitalizing them. The company focuses on maximizing production from existing fields. It has also invested in LNG infrastructure, including the Cap Lopez LNG terminal in Gabon.
