Early Life
Ayman Hariri was born on May 16, 1978, in Saudi Arabia, as the second-youngest son of Rafic Hariri, a prominent Lebanese businessman and former Prime Minister of Lebanon. He spent his early years in Saudi Arabia before moving to Paris at the age of 12. He later attended Georgetown University, graduating in 1999 with a bachelor's degree in computer science.
Rise to Success
Hariri's career began with the co-founding of Epok, a distributed software platform in 2001. Following his father's assassination in 2005, he returned to Saudi Arabia and became deputy CEO and deputy chairman of Saudi Oger, a major construction company. At Saudi Oger, he oversaw significant projects, including King Abdullah University of Science and Technology (KAUST), Princess Noura University, and the Ritz Carlton in Riyadh. In 2015, he launched Vero, an ad-free social network.
